I use a deodorant without antiperspirant, mainly because I always seem to end up with less sweat under my armpits that way. I don’t sweat excessively, but every once in a while on a humid day it can get a little uncomfortable, as you probably well know.
Robin Hanson over at Overcoming Bias has a quick post about prescription-strength antiperspirants, which you are supposed to apply the night before. He got his info from Consumer Reports (among other sources) who claim that it works the same for regular antiperspirants, too.
Maybe next time the weather’s looking a bit sticky I’ll slap some on before I turn out the light.
